9 Things your LMT wished you did as a Client...

Have you ever wondered how to be the best client for your Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT)?

Well, look no further- we are sharing with you a few tips of how you can do, just that! Massage therapy is a lifechanging service. You may be stressed or have aching muscles, but the fact is that your LMT can help better the quality of your life through these services, and so here's what you can do to better the quality of your massage- while being the best client for your therapist...

1- Speak up about pressure!

Seriously- this is YOUR massage. If you are unsatisfied or need adjustments, please tell us. We will never be offended by your letting us know what you need.

2- Tell us your goals.

When you come in for a massage, you know what you want. Please let us know what goals you are trying to achieve: Whether it's to increase range of motion, decrease pain, or just an overall relaxation massage, we want to aid you in whatever your needs are.

3- Show up to your appointment |or| give us 12hrs notice to change it.

When you schedule your appointment, this time is set aside specifically for you. Please show up! We do understand that life happens! If you need to reschedule, please give us a minimum of 12hrs notice to avoid any fee penalties.

4- If you do make changes within 12hrs- pay our Inconvenience Fee (but, please just show up).

Again, life happens!! But if you do have to make last-minute appointment changes, please recognize that our therapists are ready and waiting for you. When you pay the inconvenience fee, you are essentially paying the therapist for their time that they took to be at the clinic and ready for your appointment.

We would prefer to see your smiling face-so please just show up to your appointment!

5- Show up early - 5 minutes for return clients |or| 15 minutes for new clients.

Your massage starts when your appointment is schedule for! So if your appointment is at 6:00pm and you walk in at 6:00pm, your hands-on massage time is cut short. Please arrive early to make sure you have time to use the restroom, consult with your therapist and get on the table!

6- Do the recommendations your LMT gives you.

When you are working towards a goal, your licensed Massage Therapist will give you recommendations to better your wellness. Do them!! These recommendations actually help! *gasp* But seriously, we can only do so much while you're here. If you want to see consistent improvements, do what they tell you!

7- Book your next appointment ahead of time.

We want to help improve the quality of your life! In order to do so, you will want to have a routine of scheduled massages.. this will help you be consistent and see improvements. Booking ahead of time ensures that you will have an appointment! It is so much easier to cancel with 24hrs notice than to book within 24hrs notice!

8- Follow us on social media and interact with us!

We love our community and sharing our love and knowledge with you. Social media actually takes a lot of planning and preparation! We would love you to follow us and cheer us on through your interactions. It means the world to us!

9- Leave a Positive review and tell your friends!

When you have a good experience with us, we grow when you share with others! You can give us a review on Google, Facebook or Yelp... or all three, we are good with that option as well!

As you can see, these are just a few simple ways to interact and be the best client possible while interacting with your Massage Therapist! We are sure there are plenty of other ways as well... have any additional thoughts on being the best client? Feel free to share your comments below! We would love to hear from you!

We love our clients and this community. Thank you for trusting us with your health.
